FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SHOOTING STYLE?

I like to think that I have a very relaxed style that bring out the best in my clients. Whilst posed photographs can be beautiful, I often opt for the more candid approach. I like to capture real emotions and reactions for you to cherish for years to come.

HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?

WHICH DAYS CAN YOU DO?

I am available to work everyday and can be flexible with my hours to fit in with your needs.

IS THERE A SESSION FEE?

A small deposit of £25 must be made to secure your booking.

HOW LONG WILL MY PHOTO SHOOT LAST?

Studio sessions typically last between 45-60 minutes, however I can be flexible with timings. I’m not one to cut your photo-shoot mid flow because - sorry 45 minutes is up! I will keep shooting until I have everything I need.

WHAT’S THE BEST THING TO WEAR?

Please wear whatever you feel at your best/ most comfortable in and clothes that reflect your personality. Try to co-ordinate clothing as much as possible and preferably no strong patterns. Bright colours look great on camera and will make you stand out against the backdrop. Avoid wearing white if possible. Pinterest is great for helping with colour combinations if you’re a bit stuck!

ARE WE ABLE TO BRING A CHANGE OF CLOTHES?

Absolutely. Please do, as this will give your photographs more variety.

HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR MY PHOTOSHOOT?

Gather inspiration and have a think as to exactly what you would like to get out of your shoot. Pinterest is fantastic for looking up different poses, props etc, however of course I will be talking you through this on the day. Come prepared with any props you would like in your photographs. These can be valuable in making your child or pet feel at home, and ultimately adding a personal touch to your photographs.

I FIND THAT I CAN BECOME QUITE SELF-CONSCIOUS IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA…

Don’t worry, I certainly can relate to this! I can talk you through different poses and make sure you feel really comfortable on the day. Just remember that it’s my job to bring out the best in you! My aim is to make the whole experience as fun as possible. I can talk you through the most flattering poses and will be using lovely soft lighting.

CAN WE BRING OUR PET TO OUR FAMILY PHOTO SESSION?

You bet! I love photographing pets, and if they’re a big part of your life they should be in your photos! Please just let me know ahead of time.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING ALONG TO MY PET PHOTOSHOOT?

If you could bring some doggie treats that would be great (they are a great bribe as you can imagine!) Please bring some of your dog’s favourite toys to make them feel at home and keep them amused. Toys that make a noise are brilliant at getting your dog’s attention and therefore capturing their wide eyes and perky ears! I will provide a water bowl.

HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHS WILL YOU TAKE?

I take a large number of images (this can be hundreds!) and then edit this down to the very best. These photographs are individually edited to a very high standard before being uploaded to your password-protected gallery, ready for viewing.

DO WE HAVE TO COME BACK AND VIEW OUR PHOTOS?

No! I will send you a link to a password-protected gallery via email, where you can view your personal gallery of photographs. If however you would like to schedule a time to come back and view your images this can most certainly be arranged.

HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE I GET TO SEE MY PHOTOGRAPHS?

After your photo shoot I will get to work as soon as possible to edit you photographs. I usually have a weeks turn around from the day of the shoot to getting the photographs to the client.

HOW DO I ACCESS MY PHOTOS?

I will send you an email with a link. If you click on this it will ask for a password, which will be provided in the email I sent you. If you have any difficulty viewing your images please do not hesitate to get in touch!
